Assessment: I am senior consultant within division Council at EY to Paris for 3 years and a half. I have over the years discover many sectors (retail, industry, raw materials...), working on various topics (process improvement, auditing, internal change control), manage teams, but also to travel (Geneva, Guinea, Munich...). This experience allowed me to gain autonomy, to take on responsibilities and challenges that seemed sometimes insurmountable.

Skills obtained: First of all, I have developed technical expertise on financial processes primarily but also in the basic tools of the consultant. Secondly, and more importantly, I have particularly acquired personal and relational skills (management of crisis / conflict/stress, management team, decision-making...). These are essential as they will help throughout my career to me.

Strengths and weaknesses: The main highlight of EY lies in its ability to offer a modular career plan following the wishes of the employee. Paradoxically, the axis of major development for the cabinet lies in taking account of the wishes of the employee. The balance between the wishes of the cabinet and the wishes of the employee is sometimes hard to find.

What you have more or less appreciated: I enjoyed the diversity of missions as well as encountered people who have, for some, become friends.
I less enjoyed the management by fear that is still used by some managers to motivate teams while I found this system obsolete and irrational.

Advice for the company: The raw material of a consulting firm lies in these consultants, therefore, make every effort to provide them with the necessary tools to meet the needs of customers and provide service with high added value.
