Assessment: At CGI, I am engineer in computer systems. My current mission is in operation for the Decathlon customer support and in administration system (Linux, Windows Server &AS400).
Skills obtained: Through this mission, I could develop, but especially to deepen my skills on the product Software A.G. webMethods and IBM WebSphere MQ. In addition, I am also comfortable on the 3 above mentioned systems. Of course, Decathlon being a global brand, I have the opportunity to work on my English each day and improve it (especially oral).
Advantages: I find that CGI corporate culture is very strong and very present, which I like. I actually have the impression to be part of a great team, welded. In addition, management is handled pyramid, which allows to have a contact person at the first level near us and our mission.
Disadvantage: The only negative point for me is the too strong in front of the customer. My feeling is that one thinks first and foremost to the client, and then to the contributor. Thus, if the career of an employee development will impede the will of the client, this is the first that will suffer.
Advice to the company: I think I have no advice to give to CGI, which proves by its size and success that his model works well.
